Rick Roessler and Jack Wilkerson are the original members of FLYING ADVENTURES.  Both Rick and Jack owned Tri-Pacers and were making frequent trips together to Baja.  They also had a mutual interest in owning an economical yet higher performance high wing aircraft with better cruise speed and fuel range.
A Cessna 175B without the original GO-300 Continental geared engine (converted to either a Franklin or Lycoming) was chosen as the aircraft to meet this criteria.  In August 2000 a 1961 Cessna 175B, with a new (mid time) Lycoming 180 hp engine, was purchased for Flying Adventures with Rick and Jack as co-owners.

Jack is a 2,000+ hr VFR Private pilot.  He is retired with earlier experiences in the corporate environment (18 years with GE and 2 years with Control Data Corporation)  followed by more than 20 years of being in private business in a consulting partnership
During the consulting partnership he taught computer related couorse at several San Diego colleges and universities and was active for several years in real estate syndications and development.
Prior to moving with CDC to San Diego, CA  in 1974 he resided in the East Coast, West Coast, Mid-West and Southern States which provided  him the opportunity to make  interesting flights throughout the U.S., Canada, Alaska and the Bahamas.
He has actively flown  Baja since 1974,  with many of  these Baja  trips being made with Rick..

Rick is a 2,000+ hour private pilot.  He started flying ultralights and currently has an IFR rating.
He  has documented some of his many flying trips to Baja in a 2+ hour video titled 'FUN FLYING BAJA'.  Rick's vocation is video productions for the government with earlier experience as Video Director for instructional flying videos produced by King Schools.
He has produced movies (Slaughterhouse) and was the cinematographer for John Proctor's Cessna 185 light plane flight across Russia as seen in the 90 minutr video "Victor, Vodka and Raw Fish".
Rick is always ready for a flying (or non-flying ) adventure and has taken trips to Central America, South America, Alaska and Korea.  He recently returned (via commercial flight) from a trip to West Africa and even on short notice is always ready for his next adventure.
